April is the month of the Daisy.  One of the first spring arrivals, it stands for innocence and purity.

Made of two flowers, a center eye & a ray of florets, working in perfect harmony, Daisy’s have long been a symbol of true love.  The Celtic mythos believed that when a child died the gods would cover their graves in these sweet blooms to bring remembered joy to the parents.

These blooms also appear in Norse mythology as sacred to Freyja the goddess of love, beauty and fertility, making them a symbol of motherhood and new beginnings.

And often they are gifted between friends to emphasize the keeping of a secret, meaning “I’ll never tell!”
